Seaglass and Sage, Summer Block of the Week, Anniversary and Playing With Dolls

Seaglass and Sage On The Rack

This is a quilt by Kim Diehl, was offered as a kit.  Quick.  I like kits because there is not enough time to shop or dig through the stash.  However, I do add my own fabrics, sometimes.

Can't wait to see what Lisa does with this!

Lake House Scrappy

It has been a busy week.  I started a new quilt, Lake House by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings.  It is a Summer Block of the Week with a scrappy look.  I could so make this with the scraps in my closet, probably a dozen.  Will see if I have time.  Very simple.  Each week a block will come in the mail.  Private FB groups are set up for each of the three this summer to help and encourage each other.
Block One
Isn't that clipboard adorable?  I hope to change it out every week.

Anniversary.  Forty-Four Years.

Dennis surprised me with flowers.

Do I detect fabric and a pattern.
I do.

Do I want to make Rosemary & Thyme?
I do.

He said
"I do",

Read a Book, Drink Tea, Look at the Stars
That's what dollies like to do.

I am able to get down on the floor to play, but struggle with getting up.  So, we play dollies on the ottoman.

Thank you for reading Thread On The Floor.

  1. Love that quilt on the longarm, and Lisa is doing a great job on it. Congratulations on 44 years, you must have been married in the 70's, as was I. I'm like you and could get down to the floor, but not up easily. One of mine wanted me to get down and play, and when I said I couldn't get up, she said very seriously that I could try, it was just practice!!

Is Lisa your long arm quilter? Did you photograph your quilt in her shop, or is this some other quilt?

    1. Thank you. The pattern is Seaglass and Sage by Kim Diehl, fabric too. Lisa photographed my quilt in her home. She is a fabulous longarmer, no digital. She is very creative.
